A large roar is heard and Savage and the Outcasts walk away and leave it alone.ĭuring the events of " Tunnel Vision", Hiccup and Toothless fell into the Whispering Death Tunnels through Berk's well. However, one Outcast spots an unnaturally sized Whispering Death egg that started bigger than the other egg, Savage never saw one that size before and above them sees a huge tunnel never seen before. As soon as they check all the eggs have been broken and dozens of Whispering Death babies fly around and creating tunnels. In the " The Iron Gronckle", Savage and several Outcasts soldiers go check on the secret cavern where the Whispering Death eggs were planted. In " Live and Let Fly", the Dragon Riders were in the cave tunnels that were left to practice on how to hold out brutal interrogation by Alvin. After running into Toothless again, the Whispering Death retracts back undergrounds when it was exposed to sunlight, after realizing this, Toothless manages to lures him out and instead of killing him, Toothless lets him go and retreats back into the ground where it presumably left Berk. Fishlegs manages to get out but Hiccup gets push out and the Whispering Death almost eats him. The two then accidently run into the Whispering Death and it starts to chase them out. While searching for Toothless, Fishlegs Ingerman and Hiccup stumble into the Whispering Death's tunnels and notices a bite mark on it's hide. When it found Toothless, the Whispering Death was force to retreat after being exposed to sunlight. A strange creature then pushes Bucket up and reveals to be a Whispering Death. In " What Flies Beneath", Bucket fells into a strange hole in town. It is believed that this lake was formed by an opening under Berk, where ocean water gradually flowed in. Further in, the darkness of the barren cave is broken by an underground lake. It is best to stay clear of them, as there is no telling how they would react to strangers on their turf. ![]() Young Vikings who remain undeterred by the presence of a Whispering Death should also be on alert for other residents of these caves, such as spiders that spin massive, sticky webs. Their echoing cries give the impression of an infinite number of dragons flying about, so don't get too frightened. Don't forget to listen for the Whispering Death flying about, as you will hear their screech long before you catch sight of them. Should you find yourself brave (or foolish) enough to explore these caves, it’s important to remember to be on your guard at all times.Ī rope will lead you down into pitch-black caverns and winding tunnels.
